Job Title: Water Meter Reader

Employment Type: Full-Time – 36.25 hours per week (9-day fortnight)
About the Role: We are currently seeking a
Water Meter Reader to join our team in
Townsville. This is an active, outdoor role ideal for someone who enjoys walking, working independently, and being part of a vital community service.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately read and record water meter data across assigned service areas
- Navigate daily walking routes in various suburbs and environments
- Engage respectfully with the public, including handling properties with animals
- Work across areas including Paluma, Magnetic Island, Nome/Alligator Creek, and the Mt Jack Pipeline
What You’ll Need:- A valid C Class Driver’s Licence
- A National Police Check
- Completion of a Pre-employment Medical, including a Drug & Alcohol Screening
- A high level of physical fitness – you’ll be walking to 100–500 water meters per day, often in hot or varied weather
- Confidence working around dogs and other animals
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
