Achieve Group are currently seeking a Workshop Manager to join our clients works here in Townsville.  The purpose of this role will be to ensure management of the working day is efficient and productive. Managing servicing and maintenance planning for the diverse range of heavy machinery, truck and vehicle fleet. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:  Manage and oversee the day to day running of the workshop including, daily workloads and resource allocation to ensure work is carried out correctly to a high standard; Ensure department-wide compliance to the Integrated Management System (IMS) including all associated legislative, regulatory and company requirements; Ensure roles, responsibilities and authorities within the department are assigned, communicated and understood; Implement and maintain an effective planning and maintenance program, including breakdown and preventative maintenance, hydraulics and pneumatics, metal fabrication, equipment modification etc; Liaison with the Hire office to prioritise work to ensure maximum availability of equipment including updating of information and data in HirePos and other systems as required; Manage costs, overheads and all factors affecting the performance of the workshop including cost control of work in progress; Ensure the “Go Line” contains only fit-for-purpose, operational equipment and that this equipment is started and run on a specified day each week to maintain their readiness. Provide diagnostic input to tradesmen including the fields of oxy and electric welding and automotive electrics to ensure repairs are carried out correctly and deliver high quality maintenance services; Ensure accurate compilation of time sheets, defects and machinery documentation at all times; Follow company policies, targets, compliance and plans. Promptly investigate and report any unsafe working conditions, faulty equipment, hazards/risks, injuries or incidents; Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to monitor compliance i.e. procedures and rules, house keeping, plant maintenance, equipment, tools and report to Managing Director when in your professional opinion a piece of equipment has reached the end of its economic life due to overall mechanical condition Ensure pre-start meetings / toolbox talks are carried out with work groups; Ensure that all personnel in your control receives all training and training updates to ensure that they can perform their duties in a safe and productive manner; Hold people accountable for carrying out assigned responsibilities and the results delivered; Participate in IMS meetings including the Management Review and actively promote and participate in IMS and safety initiatives; Ensure all maintenance, service and other records are completed accurately; Participate in the recruitment, selection and induction of personnel as required; Other duties as per duties lists or as required by the Managing Director. With the recent growth and expansion of their business we are seeking a skilled and committed bulding site supervisor, based in Rockhampton to join our successful team for a long-term role.   To be successful in this position you will be a self-starter with demonstrated experience working within the Construction industry. Your exceptional interpersonal skills and collaborative nature will help you develop authentic relationships with clients and stakeholders.  Ability to multi-task between various projects whilst providing strong, consistent direction to project team colleagues and staff is key. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for overall management of construction including planning, coordination, right through to completion. Mechanical Fitter - Rockhampton

Mechanical Fitters x 2  Our client are looking for Mechanical Fitter's  for shutdown work and local work in Rockhampton   Role of service technician entailing vibrating screen inspections, screen panel replacements, major overhaul of vibrating screen structural components, general workshop duties including demob/ mob of tooling/ vehicles, reporting and tasks of maintaining the premises. It will be on a casual basis and our client will guarantee a minimum of 3x 8hr days a week in the workshop when there is no site work rostered There is a lot of out of town work predominately leave on a Monday return Friday maybe 2 x sites a week as our client work to mine site shutdown schedules, there will be weekend works at times with breakdowns or major shutdowns although scheduled work is Mon/Fri. The job entails a lot of physical labour intensive work Successful candidate will need to be able to read, understand and follow engineering specifications, procedures and comply with site & our clients OHS safety management systems All meals, accommodation, uniforms, tooling and PPE will be  supplied  We are  looking for personnel with the right attitude and positive cultural fit to the business, the technical skills we can teach   The required certification for the role is as follows: Driver’s License Mechanical trade certification Standard 11 Generic induction Coal Board Medical Confined space Working at heights Full COVID vaccination status   Any of the following site inductions would be preferable although not a requirement: Coronado Curragh BMA Caval Ridge Glencore generic
