Venue Support Assistants to join our team supporting the
Perc Tucker Regional Gallery and
The Strand, Community Halls and various open spaces across a variety of public events and exhibitions.
About the Role As a Venue Support Assistant, you will play a key role in the delivery and maintenance of exhibitions and community events. This includes:
- Assisting with exhibition installation and pack down
- Daily maintenance and invigilation of artworks
- Supporting public workshops and events
- Driving and delivering event materials
- Maintaining equipment and asset registers
- Attending and supporting outdoor events (rain or shine)
- Ensuring compliance with all workplace health and safety procedures
Working Hours- 27 hours per week + overtime as required
- Shifts are 7 hours long, scheduled between 7:30am and 8:30pm
- Includes a Monday–Friday 9-day roster
- Some weekend work and overtime will be required on agreement
- Event locations vary between indoor (air-conditioned) venues and outdoor settings exposed to weather conditions
Requirements To be considered, you must have:
- A current C class manual driver’s licence
- A clear National Police Check
- An industry white card (construction induction)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening
- Forklift licence is desirable, but not essential
