HR Driver / Vacuum Truck Operator - Townsville

Achieve Group is currently seeking an HR Driver / Vacuum Truck Operator to assist our client with day-to-day waste management operations. This position suits a practical, hands-on operator comfortable working with heavy vehicles, specialised equipment, and a range of site conditions. The right candidate will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient industrial and environmental services while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate HR-class automatic vehicles, including Cappellotto vacuum trucks, and associated industrial equipment
  • Carry out industrial cleaning, vacuum loading, and waste removal activities
  • Complete drain cleaning, stormwater maintenance, and non-destructive digging (NDD) tasks
  • Accurately complete daily logbooks, job documentation, and compliance paperwork
  • Perform routine vehicle and equipment checks, reporting defects as required
  • Follow all WHS and environmental procedures, ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times
  • Work collaboratively with team members and maintain professional client relationships
  • Complete tasks as directed, meeting project timelines and site requirements
  • Occasional weekend work and occasional work away from home will be required as part of this role.
Requirements:
  • Current HR licence (automatic), essential
  • Experience with logbooks and compliance paperwork
  • Previous experience in waste, industrial services, or a similar operational role
  • Valid White Card 
  • HVAC Certification
  • Strong understanding of WHS and environmental compliance
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Flexible availability, with willingness to work occasional night shifts and weekends
