HR Driver / Vacuum Truck Operator - Townsville Achieve Group is currently seeking an HR Driver / Vacuum Truck Operator to assist our client with day-to-day waste management operations. This position suits a practical, hands-on operator comfortable working with heavy vehicles, specialised equipment, and a range of site conditions. The right candidate will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient industrial and environmental services while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate HR-class automatic vehicles, including Cappellotto vacuum trucks, and associated industrial equipment
- Carry out industrial cleaning, vacuum loading, and waste removal activities
- Complete drain cleaning, stormwater maintenance, and non-destructive digging (NDD) tasks
- Accurately complete daily logbooks, job documentation, and compliance paperwork
- Perform routine vehicle and equipment checks, reporting defects as required
- Follow all WHS and environmental procedures, ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times
- Work collaboratively with team members and maintain professional client relationships
- Complete tasks as directed, meeting project timelines and site requirements
Requirements:- Current HR licence (automatic), essential
- Experience with logbooks and compliance paperwork
- Previous experience in waste, industrial services, or a similar operational role
- Valid White Card
- HVAC Certification
- Strong understanding of WHS and environmental compliance
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening
- Flexible availability, with willingness to work occasional night shifts and weekends
