We are seeking Trade Assistants, Boilermakers, Spray Painters and CNC Machinist’s in Brisbane. Are you mechanically minded? Do you enjoy working in a busy workshop environment? Do you want to work a 4-day working week?
About you - Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol tests.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Open Australian driver’s license (essential)
- Forklift license (highly regarded).
- Ability to comply with WHS rules and procedures and maintain tools, equipment and a clean work area.
Trade Assistants
About the role- Preparing and detailing trailers.
- Assisting painters, fitters and boilermakers.
- Managing delivery and pickup of parts.
Boilermakers
About the role- Carry out cutting, punching, rolling, bending, drilling and welding of steel products
- Check and test your own work
- Ensure that specified requirements for all work processes are met
About you - Experience with heavy fabrication and trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding) or Fabrication or equivalent)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specification
- Competence in use of factory equipment
CNC Machinists
About the role- Operate CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, drills) in line with job requirements
- Read and interpret technical drawings and job sheets
- Select appropriate materials, tooling, speeds, and feeds for each task
- Carry out in-process and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
About you - Experience operating CNC and manual machining equipment with Trade qualification (Cert III – Fitter & Machinist / Mechanical Engineering)
- Strong understanding of precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety codes
Spray Painters
About the role- Prepare surfaces for paint application
- Ensure correct paint specifications are followed (per customer design requests)
- Maintain tools and equipment in an efficient and safe operating condition
- Perform quality inspections to ensure the finished product meets the client's standards
About you - Experience in industrial spray painting, marine or automotive painting with Surface Preparation and Coating Application Trade Qualification (or similar)
