Achieve Group are looking for an experienced Storeperson in Townsville for an immediate start. The right candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, issuing tools and equipment, and overseeing the storage and distribution of stock items for employees across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, track, and maintain tools and equipment housed within the tool store.
- Issue tools, machinery, and general stock items to employees as required.
- Replace stock labels or identification markings when they become damaged or illegible.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate inventory is available at all times.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain appropriate inventory thresholds.
- Inspect all incoming deliveries against documentation and assess items for defects or damage.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe store environment.
- Collect and deliver tools, materials, and equipment within the local Townsville area using company vehicles.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the Procurement and Contracts Manager or delegate.
- Participate in emergency response activities and training to assist business continuity during critical incidents.
- Contribute to organisational planning objectives and long-term operational strategies.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety, environmental, quality, and information security requirements in line with company policies and applicable legislation.
- Comply with all relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
- Actively support a Zero Harm culture and continuous improvement in workplace health and safety practices.
Requirements & Licences- Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence
- Valid Forklift Licence
- National Police Check
- Manual Handling certification
Skills and Experience- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of store operations, inventory control, and stock rotation practices.
- Proven ability to repair and safely operate tools and machinery within a warehouse or storage environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Software and Systems- Experienced using Technology One or similar platforms.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Highly Desirable- Manual Handling certification (required within six months if not already held).
