Job Opportunity: Sheeting Mill Operator Location: Townsville
Hours: Mon–Thu 6:00 am – 2:30 pm | Fri 6:00 am – 12:00 pm
Overtime: Available and may be required on Saturdays
About the Role We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused
Sheeting Mill Operator to join our manufacturing team in Townsville. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for operating our rollforming mill to produce high-quality steel roofing and walling products.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical mindset and a commitment to quality and workplace safety. Training can be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Load steel coils onto rollforming machinery using an overhead crane
- Operate and monitor rollforming equipment to produce roofing and walling profiles
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Perform basic machine maintenance and report any issues
- Operate forklifts and other handling equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
Skills & Qualifications- Experience in manufacturing or operating rollforming equipment (preferred)
- Overhead crane operation experience (preferred; training available)
- Mechanical aptitude and basic problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks
- A strong commitment to health and safety
