Join our team as a Senior Project Manager and lead the successful delivery of critical civil infrastructure projects! In this dynamic role, you will work alongside the Delivery Engineer to oversee the planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of major infrastructure, including the Cairns Western Arterial Road Duplication. Your expertise will ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, making a lasting impact on community development.

We're seeking a candidate with proven experience in civil infrastructure project delivery, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of road construction principles. Your ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex project phases will be vital. Essential skills include applying comprehensive project management practices, making decisive calls under pressure, and fostering collaborative work environments.

Additional beneficial skills include experience with bridge construction and knowledge of relevant engineering standards, policies, and legislative requirements. A Diploma in Project Management is required; a Civil Engineering degree is highly desirable, along with prior experience in an engineering-related field. Supervisory or management experience within the civil sector is also essential.

This role requires a commitment to healthy and inclusive work practices, excellent workload management, and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Certification in project management and a background in engineering will give you a competitive edge.

The position involves regular work hours, with a maximum of 36.25 hours per week—note that overtime allowances are not provided.
