As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and delivering mechanical engineering projects while ensuring compliance with Australian standards and industry best practice. You will work closely with internal teams, clients and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion
- Provide technical expertise and mechanical engineering services to clients
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, reports and documentation
- Take responsibility for RPEQ licensed engineering work across project stages
- Ensure compliance with Australian standards and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with clients, contractors and project stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior engineers and team members
- Conduct site inspections and technical assessments when required
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- RPEQ licence or the ability to obtain one
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience delivering projects from design through to completion
- Knowledge of Australian building codes, standards and regulations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering design software
