Achieve Group are recruiting for a Purlin Mill Operator in Townsville
Being in a Machine Operators role with us, you’ll be working in a continuous production environment, operating machinery and working with Purlin products. Using 100% Australian made steel in the manufacturing process, you’ll be key to providing customers with what they need, when they need it.
What Will You Do?
As someone who is committed to the safety of their team and delivering on customer expectations you will be:
- Assisting with the setting up, adjusting and operating of machinery for the production of steel beams, for roofing and other steel roofing products.
- Learning how to read and interpret detailed orders and drawings for production
- Monitoring product quality, ensuring finished product meets expected requirements.
- Jumping in and helping other departments when and where the need arises.
- A Forklift Ticket is required for this position

To be considered you will need the following:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical
- Clear a drug and alcohol check
- A Forklift Ticket and relevant experience
- Have the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Have your own transport for getting to work
- Be aware of your surroundings at all times
- Show you can adhere to safe work practices
The shifts are Monday - Thursday 2pm - 10pm and Friday 12pm - 6pm.
Some flexibility around these times may be required.
