Project Manager - Construction
Townsville $200,000 – $250,000 (depending on experience) + super We are seeking an
experienced, hands-on Project Manager to lead our
Stage 1 civil works project, which is due to commence in
February. We are ideally looking for someone who can start
as soon as possible and is prepared to work
on-site, not in a purely off-site office role.
This position is suited to a proactive, practical Project Manager who is comfortable being visible on site, driving outcomes, and working closely with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with architects and the planning team to ensure designs and working drawings are practical, efficient, and fit for purpose
- Develop and assist with project budgets
- Assist with Development Approvals
- Assist with obtaining Building Approvals
- Schedule production and coordinate trades
- Tender and award trade packages
- Monitor and drive onsite production and program delivery
- Liaise with major and minor tenants
- Oversee and ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WPH&S) requirements
About You:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on civil or construction projects
- Strong onsite leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and trades
- Commercially minded with budgeting and scheduling experience
- Solutions-focused and delivery-driven
- Willingness to be actively involved in day-to-day site operations
