Procurement Officer (ICT) – Queensland Government- Carseldine, QLD | Hybrid (Up to 50% WFH)
- Pay Rate: $69.21 to $75.09 (depending on experience)
About the Role We’re seeking a motivated
Procurement Officer (ICT) to support sourcing and procurement activities.
Working in the
ICT Strategic Sourcing team, you’ll contribute to delivering procurement outcomes across key programs, with a focus on sourcing under the
Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework.

Key Responsibilities- Support end-to-end ICT procurement activities, including planning, RFQs, evaluation, and contract establishment
- Assist in developing sourcing approaches to deliver value-for-money outcomes
- Prepare procurement documentation such as RFQs, SOWs, evaluation reports, and briefings
- Provide advice on procurement processes and commercial considerations for low–medium complexity procurements
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing decisions
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and delivery partners
- Identify and escalate risks and support mitigation within governance frameworks
- Ensure activities align with Queensland Government procurement policies and QITC requirements
About You To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in procurement / sourcing (public or private sector)
- Exposure to or understanding of ICT procurement
- Knowledge (or willingness to learn) the QITC framework
- Strong written skills with experience preparing procurement documentation
- Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Desirable- Experience working in government or a regulated environment
- Familiarity with ICT contracts, suppliers, or services (software, cloud, infrastructure)
- Procurement or contract management qualifications (e.g. CIPS, Cert IV in Procurement)
