About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated Procurement Officer (ICT) to support sourcing and procurement activities.

Working in the ICT Strategic Sourcing team, you’ll contribute to delivering procurement outcomes across key programs, with a focus on sourcing under the Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end ICT procurement activities, including planning, RFQs, evaluation, and contract establishment
  • Assist in developing sourcing approaches to deliver value-for-money outcomes
  • Prepare procurement documentation such as RFQs, SOWs, evaluation reports, and briefings
  • Provide advice on procurement processes and commercial considerations for low–medium complexity procurements
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing decisions
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and delivery partners
  • Identify and escalate risks and support mitigation within governance frameworks
  • Ensure activities align with Queensland Government procurement policies and QITC requirements
About You To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience in procurement / sourcing (public or private sector)
  • Exposure to or understanding of ICT procurement
  • Knowledge (or willingness to learn) the QITC framework
  • Strong written skills with experience preparing procurement documentation
  • Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Desirable
  • Experience working in government or a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with ICT contracts, suppliers, or services (software, cloud, infrastructure)
  • Procurement or contract management qualifications (e.g. CIPS, Cert IV in Procurement)
