Plumber – Townsville Location: Townsville, QLD
Employment Type: Causal (Full-time hours)
Hours: 38 hours per week (9-day fortnight)
About the Role You will install, repair, and maintain water supply systems across the Townsville service area. The work is primarily outdoors and involves travelling between sites, working around traffic, and responding to both planned and reactive maintenance needs.
Licenses & Tickets Required- Trade Certificate in Plumbing
- Current C Class Driver’s License (Open)
- Construction White Card
- Confined Spaces Ticket
- Traffic Management Implementation qualification
- Current Police Check (Ability to get one)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, physical and Drug & Alcohol
Key Responsibilities- Install new water service connections
- Locate faults and repair leaks or breaks in pipelines
- Respond to dirty water complaints and investigate causes
- Carry out workshop preparation tasks
- Assist with traffic control around worksite areas
Hours & Availability- Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm (9-day fortnight)
- Overtime may be required for jobs that cannot be completed during normal hours (e.g., high-traffic areas, early-morning works, emergency repairs)
- On-call rotation: 7 days every 8 weeks (subject to change)
