MR/HR Delivery Driver - Townsville Type of work - Casual - ongoing
Hours - 30-38hrs per week
Days - Monday - Friday
Pay - $37p/hr + penalties + Super
Our parcel delivery host is looking for someone with a minimum MR Truck Licence for work around Townsville and Townsville Region. Deliveries are based out of Townsville to Ayr / Bowen, Charters Towers, Ingham and Cardwell, as well as locally around the city and shopping centres.
This is a very active role and not for everyone. It's fast paced, as you are in and out of the truck multiple times a day and work to a time schedule.
There is a lot of walking, lifting, carrying and smiling. Great customer service experience is desired, while the customer may not always be right you need to listen, defuse and have the ability to walk away.
Loading and unloading is mostly done by hand with some fork on and off work. If you have a current forklift ticket that is great but it is not a requirement of the position.
This is a very motivated employer who likes to put his drivers on a full-time permanent contract once they have worked the trial period out.
REQUIREMENTS:- MR/HR Truck Licence
- Technical skills basic enough to learn the PDA / Scanner
- Own vehicle for getting to work
- Good local knowledge of Townsville and the surrounding areas
- Ability to physically be able to perform the role
- Good energy, polite, friendly and customer focused
- Forklift (desired but not essential)
