General Labourer – Landfill Operations - Ingham Casual FT Hours | Monday–Friday (38 hrs/week) | Occasional Weekend Work We are currently seeking a
General Labourer to join our team, working across various areas of the landfill, including the
Transfer Station and
Recycling Areas. This is a full-time role offering steady weekday hours, with occasional weekend work as needed.
About the Role: The primary focus of this role is general labouring within landfill operations. This offers variety in day-to-day tasks while contributing to essential environmental services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general labouring duties across the landfill site
- Assist in recycling and transfer station operations
- Operate equipment (loader and compactor tickets/experience highly regarded)
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across work areas
- May occasionally be rostered to work between two Transfer Stations
Optional Duties:- Operate the Gatehouse, greeting customers and processing transactions
- Use basic computer systems for weighbridge and record-keeping tasks
- Provide excellent customer service to site users
What We're Looking For:- Reliable and physically fit
- Experience in landfill, waste management, or outdoor labouring roles preferred
- Loader and compactor operating tickets or experience is a bonus
- Basic computer and customer service skills highly regarded
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and at alternate sites when required
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Candidates with strong customer service and computer skills may be considered for training and advancement to a
Gatehouse Operator position, depending on performance and time with the client.
