About The Role
A regional Council in North Queensland is looking for a reliable Labourer to join its Works team, assisting the Leading Hand Form Setter/Concreter with civil infrastructure works — roads, footpaths, kerbing and channelling, stormwater drainage and boat ramps. You'll need some experience in form-setting, concrete work or civil construction.
What You'll Do
- Assist with laying underground drainage, pouring and finishing concrete, and site prep including formwork.
- Confirm services and report hazards or defects before and during works.
- Work efficiently and safely, adapting to changing site priorities.
- Pitch in on other duties as directed by the Works Overseer or Supervisor.
About You
- Current C Class driver's licence.
- General Construction Induction White Card.
- Working in Proximity to Traffic (Parts 1 & 2), Silica Awareness and Traffic Management Implementation certificates.
- Some experience in form-setting, concrete work or civil construction.
- Physically fit for manual handling and outdoor labouring, and able to pass a pre-employment medical.
