We are seeking an experienced
Flow Meter Testing & Calibration Technician to join our growing team in
Emu Plains, NSW. Supporting critical projects across the
Department of Defence and
major petrochemical industry clients, this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging calibration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable professional with a strong
mechanical background, experience in
flow meter calibration and testing, and exposure to
pressure relief valves (PRVs) and industrial process equipment.
About the Role As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality calibration, testing, and compliance services across Defence facilities, petrochemical plants, and industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform flow meter testing, verification, and calibration across a range of technologies, including:
- Magnetic Flow Meters
- Ultrasonic Flow Meters
- Coriolis Flow Meters
- Thermal Mass Flow Meters
- Complete calibration certificates, test reports, compliance documentation, and quality records
- Assist with onsite commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and fault-finding activities
- Conduct inspections and testing in accordance with client specifications and industry standards
- Work on Defence and industrial projects throughout NSW and interstate as required
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with quality, environmental, and safety requirements
Essential Requirements
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory for Defence pass eligibility)
- Demonstrated experience in flow meter calibration and testing
- NMI Certification
- Mechanical Trade Qualification or Mechanical TA experience
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 calibration principles
- NATA experience highly regarded
- Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and the ability to work in high-risk industrial environments
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
