Fitter Turner / Machinist - Townsville Townsville Monday to Friday | Full-time hours Immediate start for the right candidate $50p/h - $55p/h, depending on experience.
About the role Achieve Group is seeking an experienced Fitter Turner / Machinist to play a key role supporting our client’s Townsville operations.
What you'll be doing- Assembly and fitting of drivetrain components
- Driveshaft - repair, assembly, manufacturing and balancing for light vehicles through to heavy machinery
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Collaborate with the wider team to coordinate efficient workflow and address challenges
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety standards and procedures
What we're looking for- An operator with experience in fitting, mechanics, milling, machining, lathe operation, MIG welding and industrial balancing preferred
- Formal qualifications in Fitter Turning or Machining, or a relevant trade certificate desirable
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with earthmoving/mobile mining equipment highly regarded
- High attention to detail and quality
- Strong commitment to safety and a track record of following procedures
