Finance Officer - Assets Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer - Assets to play a pivotal role in our financial operations. In this position, you will manage and oversee our asset portfolio, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance. The Finance Officer Assets is responsible for assisting the Asset Accountant with the review and validation of the Asset Register, supporting the completion of a comprehensive review to maintain the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of asset data for financial reporting, asset management, and capital planning purposes.
Required Skills:- Proven experience in financial management, particularly in asset accounting or administration
- Strong analytical skills with high accuracy in financial data handling
- Excellent proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite
- Sound understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards
- Effective communication and organisational skills
Nice to Have Skills:- Knowledge of asset management systems and ERPs
- Experience with auditing and financial reporting
- Familiarity with procurement and inventory processes
Preferred Education and Experience:- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in finance or asset roles
Other Requirements:- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to occasionally travel for asset audits or related meetings
