Join our team in Townsville as an Electrical Mechanical Technician! This role offers a 9-day fortnight, with occasional travel required out of town. The position is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent. You’ll have the opportunity to earn plenty of overtime and allowances, which are paid weekly.
What you’ll be doing:- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems such as street lighting and traffic signals
- Responding quickly to service requests and emergency calls
- Ensuring all work complies with safety and industry standards
- Occasionally traveling to different sites within Queensland as needed
What you need:- An Electrical Work License (mandatory)
- CPR and Rescue from a live LV Panel certifications
- White Card for construction sites
- Valid Australian C Class driver’s license
- Willingness to undergo medical and drug testing pre-employment
- Flexibility for occasional out-of-town travel
Nice-to-have skills:- Queensland MR driver’s license or similar
- Open Cabler registration with endorsements in structured cabling, optical fibre, and coaxial
- EWP competency for platforms over 11m
- Experience working near traffic or in related environments
