Are you an experienced Civil Project Manager with a strong background in transport infrastructure delivery?

We are seeking a highly capable professional to lead the delivery of key road infrastructure projects within a major government program across Queensland's rapidly growing South Coast Region.

This role offers the opportunity to manage complex projects from business case completion through to detailed design, procurement, and construction documentation, contributing to critical transport infrastructure projects across the Gold Coast, Logan and Scenic Rim regions.

About the Role

As the Project Manager (Civil), you will be responsible for managing the delivery of road infrastructure projects during the pre-construction phase while providing specialist technical expertise, commercial oversight and stakeholder management to ensure successful project outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the delivery of transport infrastructure projects through planning, design, procurement and pre-construction phases.
  • Managing project budgets, forecasts, expenditure and financial performance.
  • Acting as the delegated Representative of the Principal for project delivery contracts.
  • Managing tender processes, tender evaluations and contract awards.
  • Providing high-level engineering and technical advice on design, materials, construction methodologies and project risks.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, policies and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinating project resources and promoting a collaborative team environment.
  • Managing stakeholder engagement and resolving complex project issues.
  • Preparing project reports and monitoring project performance against time, cost, quality and scope objectives.
Essential Requirements To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Current Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) registration.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience delivering transport infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex civil infrastructure projects through design and pre-construction phases.
  • Strong commercial, financial and contract management skills.
  • Current Class C Driver Licence.
  • Construction White Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal history check.
