AO5 Project Engagement Officer - Townsville
Location: Townsville
Engagement period: January 2026 - January 2028,
one year option to extend. A contractor AO5 Project Engagement Officer is required to provide additional support to the Northern District Customer and Stakeholder Engagement team. The volume of work due to heightened activity across the district program including Angus Smith Drive upgrade, Abbott Street Connection Road and Oonooba Road safety improvements, Bruce Highway Tranche 1-7 including Gairloch Floodway and Halifax intersection projects.
These projects are critical to the success of the program and require intensive stakeholder engagement, proactive communications planning, and timely delivery of high-quality materials.
A contractor Project Engagement Officer will provide essential support to:
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with stakeholders.
- Maintain consistency and quality across all project messaging.
- Reduce pressure on the existing team, enabling them to focus on strategic priorities.
This additional resource will provide additional capacity to effectively engage with the large and geographically dispersed stakeholder group which includes road users, local residents, local governments and business.
The initial contract period will be for 2 years with a further 1 year extension option. Extension option will be based on satisfactory performance with regular formal performance reviews undertaken across the life span of the contract.
