About the Role
This position plays a vital role in supporting the Community Care Branches Funded Program, ensuring effective service delivery across various initiatives, including:
  • Kolan Community Options
  • Isis Community Care
  • Gracie Dixon Centre
  • Neighbourhood Centre and Service Centre
  • Seniors Housing
The Administration Officer will be responsible for meeting deadlines, achieving defined outcomes, and providing administrative support across multiple projects and services. The role requires working under limited supervision, with the ability to set priorities and plan tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to ensure compliance with Commonwealth and State Government Regulations for service delivery.
  • Assist in volunteer and student supervision, training, and guidance.
  • Maintain high-level computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, TRACCS, and data entry.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring proactive problem resolution.
  • Adhere to and promote Council’s Child Safe policies and practices, prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities during staff absences and other reasonable tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory:
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (Australia-wide, name only).
  • First Aid and Resuscitation Certificates (current).
  • Enrolled in or completed Certificate III in Aged Care, Community Services, Community Development, or Disability Work (Lifestyle and Leisure Certificate is advantageous).
  • Experience in delivering high-quality community care programs, with strong planning and evaluation skills.
  • Knowledge of social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of older adults and young individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within strict timeframes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, data entry, and typing skills.
