Achieve Group are currently seeking a Safegas V5 Development Manager for a Project Lead with one of our clients. This role is temporary on a 6 month contract located in Redbank. 

Primary Purpose of the role
The Safegas V5 Development Manager is responsible for managing a small development team focused on the delivery of the next generation of the mines gas monitoring software (Safegas) to regulatory and industry standards and aligning with software development best practice. This role reports to the Project Manager Safegas V5.
Key Accountabilities
• Establish development governance, quality metrics, documentation and coding standards required to provide a robust and modular delivery of the next generation Safegas V5 contributing to improving safety and health outcomes for the Queensland mining industry.
• Liaise with clients, internal and external stakeholders in industry, to identify on-going and emerging needs and issues and provide high level advice on these matters.
• Manages all the activities of the software development group
• Sets attainable goals to team members to complete the project on time
• Provides guidance to team members to encourage work productivity
• Make sure the timeline is followed by the software development group
• Ensures appropriate procedures and processes are followed during software development
• Resolving performance issues and making revisions when necessary
• Represents the software development team in relevant internal and external meetings
• Participate in design control activities
• Monitors, evaluates, and ensures the completion of tasks to quality criteria
• Implements design plans, reviews and co-ordinates testing stages with the Test Manager
• Test and debug traceability
• Documents software development, version control and continuous improvement candidates
• Writes, reviews and revises product requirements and specifications
• Co-ordinate integration and training of technical and non-technical internal Safegas Support staff throughout the development lifecycle to ensure competence and readiness to support pilot and implementation activities in conjunction with the project manager 2 Key challenges
• Maintain operational impartiality, client confidentiality as an independent government agency working across a complex group of industry and internal stakeholders.
• Ensuring the regular operational resources utilized in the project do not conflict with other obligations to various clients/stakeholders.
