Finance Officer Assistant / Bookkeeper - Rockhampton

The Finance Officer is responsible for assisting with maintaining financial, accounting and administrative services in order to meet financial reporting standards and legislative requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records for all moneys
  • Administer employee files and records in order to ensure accurate payment of benefits and allowances
  • Administer weekly and bi-weekly payroll in order to ensure that employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assist Project Management Software (at time of writing – Abtrac); and
  • Other Duties: as required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Computerise accounting programs;
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivables / bank account reconciliation
  • Generally accepted accounting principles

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping or Accounting)
  • Minimum 3 years appropriate experience
