Achieve Group are currently seeking a Depot Manager on a full time permanent basis for our client based in Rockhampton.

As a Depot Manager your major responsibilities are to complete:
- Allocate and schedule freight to ensure efficient delivery is achieved
- Complete administrative duties including staff rostering, consignment allocation, delivery scheduling, payroll
- Ensure that the presentation of the Depot is maintained to a high standard
- Be the contact for customers in your region, security and maintenance issues
- Assist as required the delivery of palletised freight, parcel freight and loose items within a set area
- Assist as required to carry out pick-up schedule as required, both permanent and ad-hoc pick-ups.
As a Depot Manager your duties include, but are not limited to, the below:
- Ensure that the Depot is operated in an efficient and safe manner at all times
- Reporting all incidents/near misses/OHS issues and first aid incidents on the Corporate Intranet
- That all customer inquires are addressed in a professional manner and that drivers undertake the same professional approach
- Communication with drivers is to a
- Roster drivers and allocate freight to ensure on time delivery is achieved
- Complete all administration work as required and ensuring that payroll tasks are correct and each driver has signed their timesheet
- Conduct training as required or instructed to ensure drivers are provided with the correct procedure and/or knowledge
- Assist in the end to end employee engagement
- General depot maintenance
- Assist on the docks sorting/unloading freight
- Perform tasks outside of your position description as instructed by the Direct Freight management team.
- Ensure your own safety and health at work and avoid adversely affecting the safety or health of any other person through any act or omission at work;
- Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times when moving/locating freight, the use of mechanical aids and forklift safety;
- Report all incident and injury occurrences in accordance with depot reporting procedures;
- Ensure that Three points of contact (3PoC) is adhered to at all times;
- Ensure that Direct Freight Safe Driving Principles are adhered to; and
- Ensure that Safe usage standards are adhered to in regards to the Carousel and Conveyor system;
