Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain existing relationships and clientele whilst sourcing new clients
  • Responsible for increasing the sales of products


Key Competencies

  • Increase sales of product in specified sales territory through the development of new business and increase business from established clients
  • Responsible for successful achievement of margin targets
  • Maintenance of existing client accounts
  • Contact management to ensure relationships with clients maintained when key contacts change roles
  • Client profile management
  • Production of weekly market report for clients "State of the market report"
  • Ensure customers are informed of supply and pricing issues
  • Oversee "not available" communication by Customer Service team to relevant clients
  • Conduct random checks of orders prior to dispatch from Warehouse and manage issues that arise from these checks
  • Conduct regular sales analysis and provide feedback to General Manager regarding issues arising from this analysis
  • Ensure product knowledge of seasonality of lines of product and product specification
  • Organise and attend social functions and ensure target attendance by clients achieved
  • Provide input into promotion and sponsorship opportunities
  • Attendance of weekly sales meeting
  • Production of weekly sales report


Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong sales experience essential
  • University Qualifications highly regarded


Individual Key Performance Indicators

  • Successful achievement of sales budgets
  • Successful achievement of yearly margin budget
  • Attendance of yourself and clients at sales functions
  • Successful sourcing of new clients
  • Client satisfaction survey results for current clients
  • Sales reports produced in a timely manner
  • Achievement of new client 'sales meeting' targets
