We are seeking and experienced Head Chef to manage the kitchen operation for this well known family owned Hotel based in Bowen, QLD. Bowen is located 2 hours from Townsville, on the beach at the northern tip of the Whitsundays.
This is a full time salaried position for a dynamic proactive person to lead and hands on manage this busy family bistro. In addition to normal kitchen duties, you will also be responsible for formulating menus, effectively managing costs and budgets, ordering, stocktaking, maintaining in house and regulatory standards as well as manage the kitchen staff including 2nd and 3rd year apprentices. You will be required to cater for large groups, functions and weddings.
Suitable applicants will have a minimum 3 years experience in a similar Head Chef role, the appropriate HAACP/Food Safety Certification, Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar and have Australian Residency.
